Hook Flash Transfer

Recommended Posts

Hi Support Team,

I have problem using hook flash transfer. I have set in the VG Script to transfer to extension 2039 when they press on "0" in one of the IVR menu. Here's the log file.

How can I achieve this? Is there any setting needed to be done in VG.ini?

Looks like you are running a T1 ISDN or an E1 ISDN system.

A "hookflash" is something that is only done on analog lines - it involved disconnecting the electric circuit of an analog line for a short period of time (around 100ms).

On ISDN trunks the "Trombone"/"Dial and Conference" transfers must be used to transfer call to another telephone number.

You can check with the Telco/PBX whether your T1/E1 ISDN trunk supports "2-B Channel Transfer" (2BCT/TBCT). If it does then you should be able to use TBCT to do call transfer.
