Please Help: D/300pci E1

Hi.

 

I really hope someone here can help me with the configuration of my Dialogic Card.

 

Its a D/300PCI E1 which was working with its own telephony app. Not content with that, I though I would use it to develop my own program and set about installing the latest Sofware which all seems to be working OK.

 

The system is a Windows 2000 machine, running the 5.1.1 DMA5 Dialogic software.

 

I am Using NTL E1 lines, which are running q.931.

 

Right, I thought. Lets configure it using the Configuration Manager..... And there I failed. I dont have a *clue* what I should be putting in all the boxes.

 

Is there a guide to setting these things up?

 

I have actually managed to start the card up, and the lights on the back go green - but I cant run any of the software. Talker32 causes a GPF, Horroscope reports : DX_SETHOOK Failed.

 

Please, for the love of god help a very eager, but alas, oh so stupid person!

Can you try some other Dialogic demo programs, eg: ANSRMT.EXE, usually found in:

 

C:\Program Files\Dialogic\SAMPLES\ANSWER\ANSRMT\ANSRMT.EXE

then

 

Exiting with error 2

First you'll need to get the Dialogic demo/test apps working...

 

I'd recommend contacting your local Dialogic distributor for technical assistance on configuring your card to work correctly...

Dialogic card :

Protocol used on T1/E1 line :

Company which supplied the T1/E1 line :

Any 'features' enabled on these lines? :

Windows version : Windows 2000

Dialogic card : D/300

Protocol used on T1/E1 line : ISDN CRT4

Company which supplied the T1/E1 line : a localc company (in central america)

Any 'features' enabled on these lines? : nope

This was posted earliear on the Forum... makes sense... but still... you say talker 32 SHOULD work?

Do not use Talker32 - it will not work on E1 ISDN channels.

If ISDIAG works then your Dialogic card & drivers setup is OK.

No need to install TAPI&Wave drivers - you will not use them on E1 ISDN systems.

Have you set up the Config.xml file properly?

Please post your Config.xml file from VG's \data\ subdirectory.

 

Please post a screenshot of what you see when you start VG.

ISDN lines should be tested with ISDIAG.

This mean that d300pci does not support TAPI at all? But it is listed in your recommanded hardware.

With D/300* and other digital cards you would use "VG for Dialogic", which does not use TAPI drivers.

 

"VG for Dialoigc" should be used with all Dialogic cards. Dialogic's TAPI/Wave drivers have problems.
