Simultaneous/disconnected Calls On T1 Isdn Line

Recommended Posts

Background info: Telco installed 1 ISDN PRI 2-way Voice Circuits NI-2 protocol with pilot

number XXX-7779 that will roll to all lines. DIDs are XXX-7779 to 7799. Telephone card is

Dialogic JCT240T1

During initial testing of script using one phone to call in the call disconnects at 30 seconds, but the line status manager shows the call continues and finishes. After calling the pilot number a few times the call finishes instead of diconnecting. Simultaneous calls results in channel 1 connects the first call and channel 20 connects the second, however, the call on channel 20 disconnects after 14 seconds and no sound is heard on the phone call. Then all subsequent single calls are connected to channel 20 and at that point the VoiceGuide service is restarted to reestablish channel 1.

The telco called in paralleling two calls and got the same results, telco says that the 2nd call is rejected and the problem is on my end. The line status manager shows all 20 channels are "waiting for call" so how do I determine if issue is with the telco T1 line, JCT card or VoiceGuide sw?

It looks like the Config.xml file is not set up right to open the channels on the T1 card.

Please see the "Sample Config for 23 ports using one T1 ISDN.xml" file (in VG's \conf\ subdirectory).

Please note how the <Name> and <NetworkIf> (or <Device_Voice> and <Device_Network>) values progress from channel to channel.

On T1 ISDN the number of channels that are opened should be 23 (as per sample config.xml above)

The VoiceGuide version used on your system is not the latest one, so you may want to update to latest version as well.

If you still have problems after changing the Config.xml and restarting the Dialogic and VoiceGuide services, then please post the ktTel trace.

Please .ZIP up all files before posting.
