Message Forwarding

Hello,

 

I am using Version 5.0 and would like to know if there is a way to forward an alert only that a message has been received in a mail box instead of forwarding the whole .wav file. The upload times are long on a dialup link to send the entire message to a text messaging service. All I really need is for the "to" and "subject" lne to be sent. I can then get a quick alert on my cell phone that a messsage has been received in a mailbox. These headers contain all the info that I need. The notification time is exceedingly long (from a text messaging service) when the whole file is forwarded and many time outs occur when uploading long message files.

 

If this is not possible, can it be added? Thanks...

Starting with release v5.1.3 you will be able to specify for the Voicemial system to send email notices without attaching the sound files by changing the VG.INI entry ForwardVmEmail_IncludeWavFile in section [Voicemail] to 0

 

eg:

 

[Voicemail]

 

...

 

ForwardVmEmail_IncludeWavFile=1
