Voicemail Greeting

Recommended Posts

I just purchased/downloaded version 5.1 and did nothing more than run the install and selected "Voicemail Server.vgs" as my script to run. The software answers the phone correctly and begins running the script with no problem. But, when you go into voicemail administration and attempt to record a new greeting, you hear the message "The voice file could not be found" followed by a short beep and then the line disconnects.

Please unzip the attached file in VoiceGuide's \system\vm\ subdirectory.

There was a bug in the voicemail script which handles the administering of the various voicemail box properties (greeting message/pin/forwarding phone number etc) which resulted in sound file "This sound file could not be found" playing at a number of points throughout this subscript.

The problem is with the script itself and not with any of the VoiceGuide .exe's.

The attached new scripts fix the problem.

v5.1.2 onwards will have the fixed scripts.

If you are still having problems after updating the scripts please post a copy of VoiceGuide's Debug Printout which captures the problem, this will allow us to see what is going wrong.

(When running the script click on VoiceGuide's View menu and select 'Event Trace Log' option - any log information will then appear in this window. You must open the trace window before making the call.)
