Fax Out More Documents Type With Single Fax No.

Recommended Posts

Regarding Fax out more than 1 documents type with single fax no, with selectable document type by caller.

With

1. intel analog D/41JCT-LS dialogic card

D/41JCT-LS - port voice, softfax, analog interface, half-size PCI, CallerID,

CTBus.

2. WinFax/BitWare Fax software

Q1. Has any VBScripts sample code available to refer it?

Q2. If just use intel D/4PCI4 dialogic card + normal fax modem (eg. US Robotic 56K fax modem), isn't able to fax out more than 1 documents type with single fax no, with selectable document type by caller. Or mean, if the voice card and fax card are in separate card, isn't able to caller via phone to IVR system and to use the VBScripts to call the WinFax to fax out selected document by single fax no. internally?

Q3. Isn't able to track the document was fax out successfully?

Pls kindly help. Thanks.

Q1. Has any VBScripts sample code available to refer it?

The VoiceGuide Help file has a VB Script sample showing how to send a fax in the Run VB Script Module section. More VB Script samples used to be supplied in WinFax's reference documentation as well.

Or mean, if the voice card and fax card are in separate card, isn't able to caller via phone to IVR system and to use the VBScripts to call the WinFax to fax out selected document by single fax no. internally?

When documents are queued to WinFax then WinFax will place a call using it's modem and will deliver the fax. It will be a separate new call.

Q3. Isn't able to track the document was fax out successfully?

WinFax shows if the fax was transmitted OK or not.

Q1. So, If i have 10 type document, doc1, doc2,...doc10. Through the IVR system, the caller request the doc3 to fax it his fax no. To handle this 10 document,

am i need to apply 10 fax line to handle each document separately? Or, one fax line can do it?

Q2. If the use want doc3, doc5 and 10, can also do it, right?

>>WinFax shows if the fax was transmitted OK or not.

Q3. If fail, winfax has one un-send document in the outgoing box.

But, Isn't the caller can get the meesage as same time, like:

"pls enter the document no."

#caller press 3 for document3, then

"pls wait a while the document3 to fax out to fax no. XXXXXXX"

"bit bit ......."

''The document3 was send to XXXXXXX fax no. succefully, $10.00 will charge to your monthly bill. Thank you"

then end call

No. Faxing would be done by WinFax and that program cannot be made to do anything if faxing did not succeed - it's just listed in WinFax's log as an unsuccessful transmission.

"The system may can't fax at a moment(fax machine busy), it will fax out later within 1 hour."

VoiceGuide cannot tell how busy WinFax is - so this is not possible either.

Yes. just one fax line is needed - VG will queue faxes to WinFax software - and it uses a single fax line...

Yes.
