Dialogic D/300Jct-E1 Board And Vg7

Hello,

We have installed VG7 over a Dialogic D/300JCT-E1 with the driver in version 6.

We have a 4 line licence of VG 7

 

I have also configured only 4 lines in the Config.xml with the appropriate start scripts

 

When I place a call, VG answers but at the en of the call, I see the line (in VG Line Status tool) with a blocked status

When I place a second call, the second line answers

When 4 calls where tried, the 4 lines have the status blocked and then it is mo more possible to call Voice guide

 

Where do I have to search to find the problem ?

What is exacly the usage of the Configline xml file ?

Do I have to copy the Sample ConfigLine for ISDN lines.xml file in my Confiline file ?

 

I join the log file ktTel. It logs my 4 calls and the last one.

Trace shows that the card is working fine and accepting calls on the first 4 channels that were opened by VoiceGuide.

 

It looks like equipment on the other end that is sending the calls expects that all 30 channels on the E1 are opened, and will block the entire E1 if it tries to send a call on channels other that those opened by VoiceGuide.

 

In these situations you need to open all 30 channels on the E1 to allow the remote equipment to send calls on the channel that it selects.

 

 

Here are the lines form the trace showing VG answering calls on channels 1->4 :

The evaluation version of VoiceGuide lets you open all 30 channels on an E1 trunk. This will allow you to confirm correct operation when all 30 channels are opened.

I will try to define all the lines in Vg config file but we have installed VG on the server month ago an the evaluation time has expired. Voice Guide will also open only the 4 channels of the licence.

 

But is it normal that VG answers each time on a new line ?

It is as if the used line is not correctly released and on the 5th call the equipment on the other side see all the connected lines as busy and gives to the caller an occuped tone.

For the moment we are using VG5 on an other server and we see that normally VG answers on the first free line.

 

I will have a test session on monday. Can I plan other tests to collect enough informations to make a good diagnostic of the problem ?

There is no time limit on the VoiceGuide evaluation mode. You just need to restart it and you will get another hour of operation.

If you want to remove the license then just delete the userinfo file in VoiceGuide's directory and restart VoiceGuide. VoiceGudife wuill then start in evaluation mode.

 

But is it normal that VG answers each time on a new line ?

It will answer on whatever channel the call is sent on. The system sending the calls decides on which channel the call gets sent.

 

It is as if the used line is not correctly released

We can see the released events in the trace and they all look fine. It looks like the channel ins released OK.

You can ask the administration of the PBX/Switch sending the calls to VoiceGuide to confirm if the channels appear released ok from their side.

There in no real need to gather any more traces/data.

Using VG in trial mode works perfectly when I delete the licence file.

Voice guide answers on using line 1 to line 30 in ascending order and than restart on line one.

 

But when VG is working with the 4 lines licence, it loads only 4 lines and after the 4th call, we have the occupied tone and we have to restart Dialogic.

 

Do you have a work around for this problem ?

The answer in the previous post is correct:

In these situations you need to open all 30 channels on the E1 to allow the remote equipment to send calls on the channel that it selects.

You are only opening 4 channels on the E1, and the equipment that is sending calls to VoiceGuide wants to send calls on all channels, not just the 4 that you opened. To open all 30 channels (in registered mode) you need a 30 line license.
