Firewall Issues

Hi,

 

VG support helped me set up VG on my system a few months ago. I had to do work on other parts of my program, and just recently got back to working with VG. We had disabled the Firewall to set up VG. When I call in, VG picks up if the firewall is disabled, when I enable it, it doesn't pick up. I can't find any documentation on Ports and firewall exceptions. Is there a standard port that VG/dialogic HMP uses? Right now I'm testing with one port.

SIP uses UDP port 5060 to establish connection. Try opening up that port (in both ways) and see if this fixes things. After call setup is done the voice data is exchanged using higher numbered ports - around 40000, 50000 range - these ports are not usually blocked by firewalls.
