Vg Crashes After Upgrade

Recommended Posts

I have upgraded to

vgEngine version : 7.1.3555.27455 (RELEASE Build)

created on : 2009-09-25 14:15:03.60

Everything worked prior to the upgrade

scripts used for inbound calls are crashing VG with the below error in the Application Log

NET 2 Runtime Error

Time 11:53:20

Faulting application vgivrservice.exe,

version 7.0.9.0, stamp 4abcd0c2,

faulting module msvcr90.dll,

version 9.0.21022.8,

stamp 47313dce, debug? 0, fault address 0x000538cc.

followed by

Application Hang

Time 11:53:44

Hanging application vgLineStatus.exe,

version 7.0.0.0,

hang module hungapp,

version 0.0.0.0,

hang address 0x00000000.

I have VG on two separate servers in two different locations and i get the exact same error on both machines

I run Windows 2003 SP2, SQL server 2005

Attached are logs and the sample script i used. I also used a test script with just a record object and that crashed the system

thanks

Could you please .ZIP up and post a vgEngine log file from before the update to _090925 version was made.

We can then see which version you had on system beforehand (which was working for you) and can look at the changes made between those two versions.

On server 1

the last version that was working with inbound scripts was vgEngine version: 7.0.2940.15884 (RELEASE Build)

I upgraded from that to vgEngine version : 7.1.3555.27455 to be consistent with server 2 (below)

On server 2

the last version that was working was vgEngine version: 7.0.3427.32874 (RELEASE Build). I did not use inbound scripts, so I can not tell if they were working. This was upgraded to vgEngine version : 7.1.3555.27455 to fix the escalation issues

After both serves were upgraded they had the identical issues.

I have rolled back to 7.0.2940.15884 - sacrificing escalation for stability

Could you also please .ZIP up and post the ktTel trace as well (the one capturing the error).

Thanks for the ktTel trace. The trace showed that there was a problem in the RECORD type module.
We have now fixed this Record module issue and the version with this fix is available for download here: [old link removed]
