Using V5 To Develop Scripts For V7

Recommended Posts

hi .. since the development pc i want to use is a notebook and the target/live system will use a dialogic board, i understand that i would need to use v5 if i want to be able to test using a voice modem like my laptop has.

is the functionality essentially the same between v5 and v7, the only real difference being what hardware and protocols are supported?

what will i not be able to do if i use v5 to develop scripts for a v7 implementation?

regards,

les

Scripts developed in v5 will work in v7.

But probably best approach would be to install v7 in VoIP mode on your notebook. Notebooks' voice modems rarely work properly in voice mode.
