SupportTeam Report post Posted 09/02/2003 12:37 PM A few people have recently asked us how to send SMSs from VoiceGuide. There are few ways of doing this: 1. Use an SMS app like one from http://www.winsms.com which can send the message through a mobile phone attached to the PC. There are many others available which can be controlled by issuing command line instructions (from a Run Program module) to send the SMSs... The mobile phone would usually be attached to the PC using a serial cable - which can be purchased from mobile telephone stores. 2. Send a email to an Email->SMS gateway (you may have to pay a couple cents per message for this) 3. Many phone networks allow you to send an email to them and they will do the Email->SMS forwarding to phones on their network for free. There are many utilities out there for sending Logos, Ringtones etc. as well - many of which can easily be called from VoiceGuide's Run Program module... Share this post Link to post
