Voice Message Does Not Work W/ Sprint Voice Mail

Recommended Posts

We've been able to install VG7 and its working really good so far.

We have 4 lines with a Dialogic Card D41JCT

The only problem we're having is when I call Sprint/Nextel cell phones for some reason VG does not recognize properly the Voice Mail feature. My script basically call the phone number, play a 30 seconds wave file and hang up. I'm using the dialer to do it. But it starts to play my wav file before the Voice Mail Greeting ends. In other words they always get half message from voice mail.

Attached the config file.

Thank you, :rolleyes:

Attached log files do not capture any outgoing calls, so it's hard to say what happened on the outgoing calls. It is possible that the Dialogic card though the answering machine was a live human, and did not therefore wait till end of welcome message.

BTW: Trace shows that you are using an unregistered version of VoiceGuide:

155109.162 5 no license file c:\Program Files\VoiceGuide7\userinfo.lic

There is a limited number of outbound calls that can be made with an unlicensed version of VoiceGuide.

This is my config file. Do I need to change something about Silence Detect?

Thank you,

Could you please post a copy of VoiceGuide's Trace Logs which captures the problem, this will allow us to see what happened.

Enable logging by setting the log levels to 10 in VG.INI as per below. (these settings are set by default in v7 of VoiceGuide)

[Log]

VoiceGuide=10

ktTel=10

Then restart VG and make a test call which demonstrates the problem.

Trace files will be created in VG's \log\ subdirectory.

Please post the traces and the VoiceGuide script used.

When posting traces/scripts please .ZIP them up and post them as attachments.

Most likely the traces will show that the Dialogic card thought the answering machine was a live human, and did not therefore wait till end of welcome message. Using an extra record module in your script would force the module to wait until the welcome message is finished, and then use the "silence" path to move onto the Play module to play the message.

Please someone call me from sales department.

Thank you,
