What Digital Board Works With Vg And W2003 Server?

Recommended Posts

Hello, we are currently using a server with VG 6 Enterprise+Dialer and 2 4 port PCI dialogic boards. Works great. However we need to expand into a more robust solution. Here is what we have:

Windows 2003 Server on an HP Rackmounted chasis. What digital dialogic board works best with VoiceGuide and windows 2003 server that you guys can recommend and what is the maximum number of lines that are recommended per box? We saw that the DMV Dialogic line is supported, however we rather ask you guys to make sure we purchase something that will work within the combination of OS, hardware and VG. I would assume it will be version 7 that we will need to purchase correct?

Thank You in advance

All current model Analog and T1/E1 cards are fine.

The practical maximum number of lines per box is somewhere between 100 and 300, depends on the application type and on the script used.

If you want to use analog lines then the cards you should be looking at are the DMV160 or the D120JCT.

If you are looking at using more then 20 channels then we'd recommend getting T1 or E1 ISDN lines.

As for software, both v6 and v7 licenses are available.

Our Director of Telecommunications says he wants to use ISDN PRIs but wanted to know if you know if the Dialogic can be programmed to send the "desired" Caller ID Digits via the D channel from their board? Do you guys know?

Thanks

Yes. All Dialogic Digtial cards support the user specified setting of CallerID on outgoing calls, and VoiceGuide supports this option.

CallerID can be specified with VoiceGuide on a 'per-call' basis, so each outgoing calls can have a different CallerID associated with it if you wish.

Just to confirm: Any of the DMV series Digital (T1/E1) cards are fine.

The Caller ID can be set on the outgoing calls using the <CallerID> tag specified in the options field when placing the outgoing call.

The CallerID can be set on both the "Dial and Conference" outgoing leg of the call and on outbound calls made by the Dialer module.

Thank You, and just to confirm from my side on the OS. There are no issues with running Windows 2003 server, Digital Dialogic boards with their respective dialogic drivers and Voiceguide 6 or 7?

Thanks

No issues with VoiceGuide running on Win2003. Both v6 and v7 are fine on Win2003.

You will need to use Dialogic's SR6.0 drivers on Win2003 as only SR6.0 are certified for use on Win2003.

Best to use the latest Service Update of the SR6.0 as well.
