Moving Vg To New Machine

Support folk,

 

I've just gotten a much faster and later-model server to replace the one that our install of VG is currently loaded on.

 

What's the best way to "move" the software to the new machine? It tied itself to our Dialogic card on initial install, so I know that won't be a problem, but I'm wondering if there's a "best practice" for transferring to the new system.

 

My biggest concern is our registration code. Will I need a fresh one, or...?

 

Please advise. Thanks much.

To move to the new machine install VoiceGuide on the new machine and copy over your scripts and sound files etc. Then just edit the Config.xml file to specify which lines will be running which scripts.

 

As soon as you move the Dialogic card over to the new machine you will be able to use the registration code linked to that Dialogic card on the new machine.
