My Greeting Messages Dn't Announce

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have downloaded the latest 5.0 beta 12 and the copying and distribution list issues have been resolved. However, I can't get MY VM box greetings to play. The default plays each time. I've used multiple boxes, recorded within and outside the VM record module and no luck. The PCM is set correctly on the files. The greeting will play from the VM Box play mode but not on call in. Please help...

Thanks

There was a bug in vmLm.vgs.

The .ZIP attached contains new vmLm.vgs and vgmulti.exe

Please place vmLm.vgs in VoiceGuide's \system\vm\ directory - replacing the previous file.

Updating the vgmulti.exe with new one is not essential to fix the issue but will allow you to take advantage of the new path type used in the vmLm.vgs (WAVERR_BADFORMAT) so it's recommended.

(Beta13 onwards will include bith new files - you only need this file if updating v5.0Beta12)

Also, when recording the welcoming message please ensure that the sound file is saved in appropriate format - if using Dialogic cards that is: PCM 11025Hz, 8b bit Mono - otherwise the sound file will not play.

The Sound recorded may by default save it in different format - so you need to explicitly select the format when saving the sound file...

To change the current format of sound file just open the file in Sound Recorder, then select "Save As.." - this will let you choose the new file format.

OK, the greeting messages are answering now, but when I install the new vgmulti.exe the propgram will not run. I get a "runtime error 429 - You do not have appropriate license to use this functionality".
