Advice For A Novice

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Firstly I must say that I am new to all this automated telephony stuff so please bear with me ;-)

What I want to do is pretty straightforward...I think.

I'd like to take incomming calls from a single line/number and then allow the caller to choose which department they wish to speak to via an automated menu system. Upon making a selection the system would them call the appropriate number...either another landline or a mobile...if the line is busy or just no answered then the option of leaving a message should be available. If the call is connected then the entire call requires recording.

Now...can I achieve this using VoiceGuide ?

And bearing in mind that I'm in the UK with BT lines what telephony card do I require ? and am I best to enable 3 way calling on the line ?

Thanks in advance.

Lee

You will need to use a Dialogic card to setup this system.

If the 3-way transfer feature is enabled on the line then you can use the 3-way option. Otherwise you will need to use the Dial-and-Conference approach, for which another line would be required.

Use a Record module to record the conversation. See bottom of this page: http://www.voiceguide.com/vghelp/html/modRecord.htm
