Send Text Message To Cell Phone

Hello,

 

I would like to send a text message to my cell phone whenever there is a message left in the voicemail box. Can I do this?

 

If not, can I send just the CallerID Number and a results variable? If so, how? If I forward a call, I get the whole message recording which I don't want. I have a Motorola V60T cell in US.

Easiest way to send an SMS to a mobile phone is to use the email->sms gateways that are available these days.

 

The you just use the "Send Email" module from VG to send email to gateway, which then sends SMS to the phone.

 

One of the gateways is http://www.ipipi.com but there are many others - just look up "Email to SMS" on Google...

 

Another ways is to connect a mobile phone to the PC - and there are many programs which will then use the connected phone to send an SMS or Logos/Ringtones etc - and you can call these programs from VG's Run Program module.
