Installing Dialogic D/4pci

Recommended Posts

I have successfully installed the card and tapi drviers and the simple test script (credit card) works fine, however the pc is reporting new hardware on each reboot (Other PCI Bridge Device) for which it wants a suitable driver. This seems to be linked to the Dialogic card as removing it from the system removes the problem. Any ideas?

Don’t know why Windows would want to re-discover it every time...

I think there is a way of indicating to Windows that you don’t want Windows to ever ask you again to install a particular piece of hardware that it has discovered - you may need to play around with the options available to you next time Windows asks you to install this device...

Otherwise I would contact your Dialogic rep to see how to resolve this annoyance...

you have to install a "dummy" driver

it is located some where in bin? folder.

actually the device doesn't need any drivers. the dummy drivers just stops windows from asking for a proper driver.

Patrick,

I couldn't find the "dummy" driver you mentioned. Do you by any chance know the name of the file?

Another option would be to disable it in the Device Manager.

Doing this will not stop the board from functioning.
