Ques. Re. Compatible Ct Cards

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I just started working with VG, and I must say, it is very cool :)!

To start with, I'm working with a Modem Blaster V.92 PCI card, as mentioned in one of the posts on this board, and it seems to be working fine.

Now, I'm starting to think ahead, and am looking at getting one of the recommended CT cards. However, I'm confused about the following:

The recommendation is to run on Win2K (which I am doing), but when I checked on some of the cards recommended (e.g., the D/21D and D/4PCI) it seems they are only supported under Win98SE and/or WinNT4.

Can (specifically) the abovementioned cards be used with VG on Win2K?

If so, what do I do about drivers for the cards (on Win2K)?

Thanks,

Jim

Dialogic's System Release 5.1 or later drivers are certified for use on Win2000.

You can obtain these drivers on CD from your local Dialogic/Intel distributor (for a nominal price) or you can download v5.1.1 for free from Dialogic/Intel web site - please see our "Recommended Hardware" page for the link. (they are about 300MB)

At the time of writing the link to v5.1.1 is:

http://resource.intel.com/telecom/support/...Sr511/index.htm

The release notes for v5.1.1 state:

Operating System Support

The operating system requirements are:

Windows NT Version 4.0 (Workstation or Server) with Service Pack 6a

Windows 2000 (Professional, Server, and Advanced Server) with SP1 and SP2

NOTE:

This is the last release to support Windows NT.
