Vg Thinks Someone Is Calling But No One Is

[Mattm]

If you hang up in the middle of a transaction VG Displays"Hanging up call" Followed by "Waiting for call" and then mysteriously picks up like someone is calling. It is impossible that someone else is calling. Here is the trace surrounding the hangup.

We can see in trace tha that the Dialogic card is reporting ringing on the line:

That's why VoiceGuide picks up the phone and starts the script.

 

Some PBXs and switches have 'auto-callback' features - are you sure that the PBX or Switch is not actually dialing Voiceguide's extension again?

 

There is a remote chance that the Dialoigc card is faulty - but the 'auto-callback' is probably what is happening here...

I now have a Vonage line hooked up and no longer get the redial problem However now it will not detect a hangup.

We were using just a standard non-pbx line.
