Are you able to explain what your plans are for a VOIP version of VoiceGuide, and a generally overview of how it will work? It's new to a lot of us, and I'm still trying to get my head around how VOIP fits together with an IVR....

 

Is the idea that VG will communicate directly with the PC's broadband connection, rather than with a Dialogic (or similar) card that takes external calls?

 

What kind of release time frame are we looking at?

You can pretty much take any phone system and connect it up to VoIP lines using a VoIP media gateway. They are quite cheap and that is how most systems get connected up to VoIP lines without changing existing hardware.

 

What type of system are you looking at setting up?

I am investigating the possibilities of running VoiceGuide directly from a VOIP connection. Is that on the cards?

Right now the only way to do this is to use a Media Gateway.
