Detecting Ring On Outbound Call

My client wants to be able to pre-test that phone numbers from a database are still valid.

To do this we want to ring the number and if it rings immediately hang up and record the fact that the number is valid.

If it doesn't ring (because its disconnected or otherwise) hang up and record the number as invalid.

 

What I can't work out is how to detect that the number is ringing so that I can hang up.

VoiceGuide cannot be used for this as it is right now - but we can create a version which can.
