$rv_cidnumber Doesn't Work Very Well

the $RV_CIDNUMBER doesn't work very well.

I think what you are seeing here is that sometimes the phone company is supplying the CallerID and sometimes it does not... or if you are using modem then maybe your modem is reliably picking up the CallerID...


If CallerID is provided to VoiceGuide by the card/modem then it will be accessible via $RV_CIDNUMBER. There are no outstanding issues within the software relating to use of $RV_CIDNUMBER.

In addition, since the CID is transmitted between the first and second ring, make certain that you aren't answering the call before then. I answer on the third ring just to be safe.
