Vg Wont Playback Text

I've setup VG using the trial version and installed the SAPI 5 for TTS. However,

when I call into the script, the text in the "Text to Speak" box doesn't playback to the caller. I'm using a D/4PCIUF card, Win XP, and system 5.11 release FP1 with the Dialogic patch installed.

 

I call the IVR, it answers and nothing else happens.

It looks like the TTS is not generating any sound. Best to probably try re-installing the TTS. Which TTS are you using?

 

To confirm if TTS is working see what is in file C:\Program Files\VoiceGuide\data\tts1.wav - that's the file into which the TTS system saved it's TTS converted sound and that's the file which VG then played..

I'm using the standard Microsoft SAPI 5. Is there some configuration that has to be done to make it work with VG? I'm only using it until I get the ATT natural voices. I assumed that once I installed the SAPI 5 for Microsoft that it would work.

 

What else is needed?

Does the VG recognize that the TTS is installed automatically?

Can you use demo tools that came with the TTS to play text over your speakers? have you used anything else to confirm that TTS works?

 

Best to just try re-installing it.

I have re-installed the Microsoft SPEECH SDK and the VG is working properly.
