Transfer Using Voice Modem

Recommended Posts

when using blind transfer or any kind of transfer or conf - while putting hookflash it disconnects the caller line, rather than holding it.

I am using VG 4.9.0 on '98 with sm65 motorola voice modem over analog lines via a pbx.

please advice.

Looks like the modem's hookflash is too long, and your PBX thinks the call was hung up...

Do you know what length hookflash your PBX expects?

From VoiceGuide help file:

For best performance it is recommended that a Dialogic card be used in systems which perform call transfers. A Dialogic card can be configured to work with all types of PBXs and telephone systems. Voice modems have a pre-set hookflash (other wise known as ‘flash’ or 'recall' signal) length and sometimes cannot be configured to work with all types of PBXs and telephone systems.

I am having the same problem with my Zoom External V92 Voice Fax Modem. The transfer does not take place and the call hangs up. Will I be able to use this feature with this modem?

You can try your luck with a different modem, or just get a Dialogic card.
