Voicemailbox Reader Program?

Recommended Posts

Just a thought for a new product:

Having a VoiceMailBox "listener" app/utility would be great!

All you need to do is strip off all but the first tabs of the VoiceMailManager, add a config-tab with say a network computer name and maybe a path to the VMSave directory (and maybe the VG-app), and you could easily play the VM wavs over the network! All you need to support is the network "UNC" path.

Just a suggestion - Tim.

We'll probably just add the option of loading the recorded voicemails into MS Exchange/Outlook.

A listening app would need to be secured against ability to listen of other peoples voicemail etc...

Some users have set up basic web based systems to allow remote access of voicemail through the browser as well (with appropriate login checks etc).

Just thought a PIN check would work, since the wavs are just sitting there on a drive-path, anybody can listen to them anyway.

As for despatching out to Outlook/Exchange, you have this anyway, but the reason for not doing this is the attachment size clogging up your mail-systems.

Sort of related - can you opt to get an email notification WITHOUT a wav attachment?

If you are making the files available over the network then maybe just create a batch file which copies the voicemail messages for various VMBs to separate directories, and give each user access to his/hers directory
