Recommended Posts

Hi,

Please can you tell me how many simultaneous calls your software can support for each of the following phone lines?

1 - Analog phone lines

1 - T1 Line

1 - E1 Line

1 - ISDN BRI

Thanks.

Analog phone lines :

Limited by how many analog cards can be fitted into the server.

The highest density analog card is the D/120JCT which can handle 12 lines. In most cases the maximum number of cards you can place in the server is 4, resulting in 48 lines.

T1/E1 :

Each T1 line can carry 24 channels, and an E1 line can carry 30 channels. VoiceGuide supports Dialogic cards with single and dual T1/E1 connections.

If using dual E1 cards (Dialogic D/600) then 4 cards will give a capacity of 240 channels per server. Many IVR applications which require database access and other CPU time consuming tasks will however limit the practical limit of channels per server to less then that. Very few systems run more then 120 channels per server with a common max/server level being 60.

ISDN BRI :

Each IDN BRI connection carries 2 channels. VoiceGuide supports cards with a single, dual and quad BRI connections (Eicon makes a quad BRI card). If using quad BRI cards then 4 cards will give a capacity of 32 channels per server.
