Tts - Wrong Format Error

When i run my script i am hearing a "Wrong Format" error speech. My script is running nothing but TTS.

 

Any ideas what could be causing this?

Which version of VG are you using? if not v5.2.1 then please try with v5.2.1 and then post here the Debug Trace Log capturing the problem. (trace should be from v5.2.1)

 

(When running the script click on VoiceGuide's View menu and select 'Event Trace Log' option - any log information will then appear in this window. You must open the trace window before making the call.)

Which TTS voice are you using? One of the standard Microsoft voices of have you installed & selected an alternative TTS voice (AT&T etc..)

 

Please .zip and post the file C:\Program Files\VoiceGuide\data\tts6.wav which TTS created and VG is trying to play...

 

Could you also plz post the log file MMDDsw.txt from VG's \log\ subdirectory which captures the TTS file creation (I assume you have logging to file turned on)

I am using Rhetoricals TTS Server/Engine.

 

I did not have the log checked when running the system earlier, now when i try to recreate the same issue, the system hangs up on me. I have attached a ZIP with the wav file and the logs from that directory, but this oen shows that it hangs up on me.

Please provide traces from a successful call when you can.

 

Meanwhile, can you plz tell us:

 

1. How was the "Wave Driver not installed error" issue you mentioned in the previous thread resolved?

2. Which model/version/release of Rhetorical TTS are you using? Did you purchase it direct from Rhetorical or from a reseller? Can you give us a ballpark price of how much it cost?

I ended up diabling my game port from my sound card and that seem to resolve the issue.

 

Rhetorical is very expensive and a very large program to run, adds an additional five minutes or so at startup, but its the best sounding system out there hands down.

 

I am using version 4.2 which was purchased directly from them.

 

I have attached there pricing matrix....

 

Earlier i asked you about LumenVox, is there a VR system out there that can be implemented with VG?

At this stage Speech Recognition is not integrated into VG.

 

We will look into what LumenVox offers in the next couple of weeks.

Ok i was able to recreate the errror again, i have attached the log files.

 

Prior to getting the system to say the error message, the system thought i was an answering machine everytime it called my cellphone.

 

Please look at the log files and let me know why i am getting the error message with the TTS - Thanks.

This sometimes happens if the phone connection is poor quality (or has been heavily compressed during transmit by telephone company).

We had a few people report this on CDMA type mobile phones...

 

Regarding the TTS error we can now see what is happening. The TTS engine is not actually completing the writing of the TTS file, although it claims that it has.

Looks like sections of the WAV header are not written in, which then stops VG from correctly playing the file.

 

The attached .exe will give the TTS a bit more time to do it's job and will check the file itself for when it is ready to be played.

 

Please update your v5.2.1 install with this .exe, run a few calls and post the trace files so that we may confirm that all is working on your system as intended.
