Speech Recognition Across Ivr's

Hi Support,


We'd just like to confirm that we can have one Speech Rec server as a shared resource for multiple Voiceguide servers. We currently have 3 IVR servers and would like to speech enable them, can you confirm we can put in one speech server and all 3 of our IVR's would be able to use it as a shared resource?

The configuration officially supported is a dedicated speech server per IVR system.


A configuration where multiple IVR systems all use a shared Speech Rec server has not been tested.

Thanks for your response. Can you see any reason why this would not work, each IVR would be referencing the shared Speech Server by IP just as it would if it were dedicated. It should just come down to available licenses for requests, right?

The speech recognition engine may allow interleaved requests from varied sources, or it may not. This is functionality is not within our control, and may change from one version of software to another.
