VG as call router

Recommended Posts

Hi,

can we make VG server with dialogic card transparent for calls?

We want install server before PBX and monitor calls, all calls transfer as transparent device from telecom network to PBX and only selected calls (identified by conditions) processed by VG script.

In this time we use external devices.

This same question in case call recording to make VG transparent.

Yes.

The incoming calls that are to be transferred transparently can just be transferred using the Blind 2-line transfer (the 'tromboned' / 'dial-and-conference' transfer), with the DINS and CallerID passed onto the new call that will be going out to the PBX (or modified as desired).

The caller would not be aware the call was routed through VoiceGuide. The call route setup time is negligible and there would be no additional sounds heard by caller.

For more information on call transfers please see: https://www.voiceguide.com/vghelp/source/html/modxfer.htm

The routed call can then be monitored and/or recorded etc and optionally you could also have a script take over the call when the VoiceGuide system detects that the PBX leg of the call has disconnected or certain combination of keypresses was detected from selected side of call etc.

And of course the calls selected for VoiceGuide script processing instead of transfer onto PBX can be handled as usual.

Please let us know if you have any questions,
